Severe Meteorological Factors Affecting Civil Aviation Flights at Iraqi Airports

By studying the impact of severe weather conditions on civil aviation flights at Iraqi international airports, data were obtained from General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring, Civil Aviation Authority, Airways, as daily Baghdad International Airport, Erbil Sulaymaniyah Najaf Basra Airport. The frequency occurrence thunderstorms, dust storms, fog, snow was calculated analyzed depending extent horizontal visibility to determine hours air closure aircraft movement all airports study. This paper also discussed temperature its effect take-off landing processes, results showed that Airport greatly affected by followed their thunderstorms snow, while both storms.
